US Defense Secretary Pat Hegsth has announced that the war against Iran is still in the early stages, but it will take time before it runs its course. Speaking in an interview, Hegsth emphasized that Iran’s grip on the region is loosening, and it will continue to do so as the strikes against it intensify.
The blasts, carried out by both American and Israeli forces, have entered their second week. They have targeted key installations in Iran. According to the Pentagon, approximately 50,000 American forces are linked to the operation. As of Friday, 3,000 targets had been hit.
Speaking on the operation, Hegsth emphasized that it is going well. This is because, as he pointed out, American air power combined with that of Israel is unmatched by Iran. “When our air power blends with Israel’s, we’re looking at one of the strongest aerial forces in the world,” he said.
In addition to the blasts, American defense officials are planning to undertake operations against Iran’s uranium deposits. This indicates that the operation is set to expand to include high-value installations.
Hegsth’s comments underscore the fact that the operation is in the early stages. This is an indication that America is set to continue exerting pressure on Iran to loosen its grip on the region. As Iran is subjected to increasing air power, it is apparent that the operation is set to play an important role in American military strategy.
