All educational institutions in Balochistan shut until March 23

The Balochistan government has announced the temporary closure of all public and private educational institutions across the province from March 9 to March 23, 2026, in view of the ongoing Mideast war and to ensure administrative preparedness for any emergency.

According to an official notification issued by the provincial Education Department (Schools), all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions throughout the province will remain closed during the specified period.

Officials said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure in light of the current regional circumstances and to enable authorities to effectively manage any potential emergency situation.

The notification stated that the move also aims to facilitate the public by addressing possible challenges related to transportation and movement during the ongoing situation.

However, the Education Department clarified that certain academic and administrative activities will continue despite the temporary closure.

The ongoing school admission campaign, the digital census of schools, and any examinations scheduled during this period will proceed as planned.

Authorities have directed relevant officers and staff to ensure that these activities are carried out effectively in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Education Department.
