Chaudhry Sugar Mills case closed against Maryam, Nawaz

The investigations against Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case have been officially closed. The decision was made by the Accountability Court, bringing an end to a long-running inquiry.

Judge Rana Arif delivered the ruling after hearing the request to close the investigation, which had been filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The court approved the closure after evaluating the evidence and arguments presented by the NAB.

During the proceedings, NAB Prosecutor Intikhab argued in favor of ending the investigation. He told the court that no evidence of corruption or financial wrongdoing had been found against Maryam Nawaz or her father, Nawaz Sharif.

The Chaudhry Sugar Mills case had been under scrutiny for several years. It involved allegations of financial irregularities and corruption against the Sharif family. However, after thorough investigations, NAB concluded that there was no substantial evidence to pursue charges.

With the court’s ruling, both Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif are cleared of any wrongdoing in this matter. The closure marks the official end of legal proceedings in this case.

Legal experts say that the decision reinforces the principle that investigations must be based on solid evidence and that prolonged inquiries without proof should be concluded. The Sharif family’s legal team welcomed the court’s decision and expressed relief over the closure.
