J&K State Property Administrator’s Office signs pact with PITB for digitization of all modes of rent collection

The Office of the Administrator, J&K State Property in Pakistan, has signed a landmark agreement with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on Wednesday for the digitization of all modes of rent collection, marking a significant step towards enhanced transparency, efficiency, and financial modernization.

This initiative is fully aligned with the federal government’s vision of promoting a cashless economy and accelerating digital transformation across public sector institutions. With this development, the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan & SAFRON becomes the first federal ministry to implement a comprehensive digital rent collection system in collaboration with PITB.

Under the new system, tenants will be able to make payments through secure digital channels, enabling real-time transactions, greater transparency, improved convenience, and effective monitoring of revenue streams. The digitization process is expected to significantly reduce delays, minimize leakages, and strengthen financial accountability, while streamlining the management of rent collection and defaults.

This milestone reflects the ministry’s firm commitment to good governance, innovation, and the adoption of technology-driven solutions in line with national priorities for a transparent and cashless economy.
