President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his greetings on the occasion of Nowruz, describing the festival as a symbol of spring, renewal, and the triumph of light over darkness.
In his message, the president emphasized that Pakistan’s cultural and religious diversity is a source of national strength. He said the nation stands in solidarity with people celebrating Nowruz under difficult circumstances.
He noted that in conflict-affected regions, the arrival of spring has brought pain instead of joy. He said that in some areas, flowers are overshadowed by destruction and bloodshed.
President Zardari also highlighted the situation in Afghanistan, stating that people there are being deprived of celebrating Nowruz freely. He expressed special good wishes for the Afghan people who observe the festival.
He expressed hope that Nowruz would bring an end to darkness and conflict. He added that the clouds of war would clear and the light of peace would spread across the region.
