ISLAMABAD: Senior Pakistani politician Mushahid Hussain Sayed has said that the United States has not benefited from its conflict with Iran, warning that the ongoing tensions have instead deepened global economic and energy problems.
Speaking on the media,” he said the war involving the US, Israel, and Iran has made the international situation more unstable, particularly affecting energy markets and the global economy.
Mushahid Hussain also criticized statements by Tulsi Gabbard, calling them misleading regarding Pakistan. He further claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu influenced US President Donald Trump into taking certain actions during the conflict.
He noted that China appeared satisfied with how Iran managed the situation. At the same time, he urged unity among Muslim countries to counter what he described as the idea of a “Greater Israel.”
The former senator added that the stance taken by some countries does not represent the entire Muslim world, stressing that many nations have their own concerns and limitations. He also said Iran wants to ensure that Gulf countries’ territories are not used against it in any conflict.
Mushahid Hussain concluded by saying that the United States is supporting Ukraine to weaken Russia, and added that cooperation between Russia, China, and Iran could be seen as a positive development in the current geopolitical situation.
