Hezbollah claims missile and drone strikes on Israeli military HQ in Tel Aviv

Lebanese militant group Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for a bold attack on Israeli military installations in Tel Aviv, intensifying tensions amid ongoing hostilities in the region. The group said it targeted the Kiriya district in central Tel Aviv, which houses the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) headquarters along with other government offices, using multiple precision missiles.

In addition to central Tel Aviv, Hezbollah reported striking a northern facility connected to Israeli military intelligence, further signaling its focus on key strategic locations. The attacks were reportedly carried out using drones and advanced missile systems, marking a significant escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah-backed forces.

The Israeli Defense Forces responded, stating that several missiles fired toward central Israel were successfully intercepted before causing major damage. Despite the IDF’s defensive measures, reports indicate that two people sustained injuries during the strikes near military installations outside Tel Aviv.

Hezbollah’s announcement also came with a firm rejection of ongoing ceasefire talks while Israel continues its operations in Lebanon. The group’s leader emphasized that any negotiations with Israel during the conflict would amount to “surrender,” underscoring the organization’s stance of pursuing military objectives over diplomacy at this stage.

Analysts note that such attacks highlight the fragile security situation in the region and the potential for rapid escalation. The targeting of central military and intelligence sites within Tel Aviv demonstrates Hezbollah’s capability and willingness to strike deep inside Israel’s territory, raising alarm both locally and internationally.

As tensions mount, residents and authorities in central Israel remain on high alert, and diplomatic channels are reportedly monitoring the situation closely. While the broader implications of the attack are still unfolding, the events mark a significant moment in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, with regional stability hanging in the balance.
