According to details shared in the notification, the total revised amount includes multiple components. Out of the Rs21,300 charge, Rs17,700 will be allocated to cover the cost of the electricity meter and associated cabling. In addition, Rs3,660 will be collected as security deposit from new applicants.

Sources within the company indicated that the decision to increase charges faced internal disagreement, with some officials reportedly expressing reservations over the steep revision. However, despite the concerns raised, the decision was approved by the chairman and members of the LESCO board.
