Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has clarified that the country is not participating in any mediation process between the United States and Iran. He emphasized that Qatar’s primary focus remains on safeguarding its national security and strengthening its defensive capabilities.
The spokesperson expressed strong support for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions in the region. He noted that Qatar maintains ongoing communication with all relevant parties, including stakeholders, mediators, and other regional actors. According to him, Qatar hopes that Pakistan’s initiatives will succeed in reducing hostilities and contribute to long-term peace and stability.
He further highlighted the importance of Qatar’s strategic defense partnership with the United States, stating that it has played a vital role in enhancing the country’s security. Qatar’s armed forces, he said, successfully intercepted and neutralized nearly 90 percent of recent attacks, demonstrating their preparedness and strength.
The spokesperson concluded by asserting that these developments send a clear message: Qatar is well-defended and should not be considered an easy target.
