The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has issued the schedule for the preparation and revision of electoral rolls for 2026, outlining key dates for voter registration and verification.
According to the schedule, new entries in the draft rolls will be accepted from March 24 to April 7. The National Database and Registration Authority will provide preliminary voter lists by April 10.
The preliminary electoral rolls will be published for public inspection on April 13, enabling citizens to review their details. Voters will be allowed to register, make corrections, and file objections between April 13 and April 17.
Authorities will conduct hearings on submitted applications from April 17 to April 20, after which decisions will be conveyed to registration officers by April 21.
The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on April 30, 2026.
An Election Commission spokesperson said the process aims to ensure transparency and accuracy in voter lists ahead of upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
