Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Headquarters in Islamabad on Saturday and also inspected various under-construction new and old blocks of Parliament Lodges in Islamabad.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary was also present during the visit. On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi sought an upgradation plan for the under-construction building.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that the NCCIA has to play a vital role in eliminating the menace of cybercrime.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the NCCIA will be equipped with latest information technology infrastructure. The minister directed completion of the Parliament Lodges’ new blocks within three months. Every new block will be comprised of 10 units.
He said that the construction of new blocks will provide better residential facilities to the parliamentarians.
The Interior Minister directed the start of installing CCTV cameras in the new blocks. He also sought a comprehensive plan for the rehabilitation of old blocks.
Director-General National Cyber Crime Control Investigation Agency, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion.
