The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified further, with both sides reporting fresh attacks, strikes, and casualties across southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching rocket barrages targeting the northern Israeli towns of Shlomi and Even Menachem. The group said its fighters carried out coordinated strikes as part of ongoing operations against Israeli positions.
Hezbollah also reported targeting two Israeli helicopters with surface-to-air missiles over the southern Lebanese area of al-Bayyadah. According to the group, both aircraft were forced to retreat from Lebanese airspace following the attack. These claims have not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, violence on the ground has led to multiple casualties in southern Lebanon. Local reports indicate that two people were killed in Israeli air operations in the Nabatieh region. The National News Agency reported that one person died in a drone strike in Deir Zahrani, while another was killed in Zibdin during early morning hours.
Additional Israeli airstrikes were reported in Ain Qana, Arab Salim, and Nabatieh al-Fawqa, suggesting a continued expansion of aerial operations across the region.
The Israeli military stated that it has killed several Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon as part of its ongoing ground operations. It claimed that the targeted individuals were part of an anti-tank missile unit and were reportedly positioned inside a mosque. However, Hezbollah has neither confirmed nor denied these reported casualties.
The Israeli forces have been advancing deeper into Lebanese territory, intensifying both ground and air operations as part of a broader military campaign.
In a separate development, Israel also reported carrying out an airstrike in Iran. The military said it targeted a petrochemical facility in Shiraz, describing it as a site used for producing nitric acid, which it claimed was linked to military applications. Israeli officials alleged the facility contributed to the production of materials used in ballistic missile development, although no independent evidence was provided to support the claim.
