LPG price goes down by Rs20 per kg

Good news for the people worried about the expensive LPG as price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas was reduced by Rs20 per kg across the country, it was reported on Thursday.

According to FPCCI Convener for LPG Standing Committee Ali Haider, after the ceasefire and Eid and Nowruz holidays in Iran, LPG has arrived in abundance.

As many as 7,000 tons of LPG have been imported after the border opened.

LPG has arrived from Taftan, 250 borders and Mand.

With the improvement in supply, the price of LPG has immediately decreased by Rs20.

A further reduction of Rs50 is expected as the supply comes into the market.

OGRA had fixed the official price of LPG at Rs 304 per kg while some opportunists increased the price from Rs440 to Rs450.

Pakistan is dependent on 65 percent imported LPG. 90 percent of LPG gas comes from Iran.
