Pakistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and continued diplomatic engagement following high-level discussions on ongoing international developments.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which he shared updates on the recent Islamabad Talks. Both sides emphasized the importance of respecting ceasefire agreements and supporting sustained dialogue between concerned parties.
During the exchange, Türkiye acknowledged Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating communication between the United States and Iran. The two ministers reiterated their shared stance that diplomacy remains the only viable path toward lasting peace and regional stability.
Hakan Fidan praised Pakistan’s efforts in promoting dialogue and expressed support for continued engagement aimed at reducing tensions in the region. He also extended an invitation to Ishaq Dar to attend the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum, scheduled for later this month.
In a separate conversation, Ishaq Dar also briefed Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on the outcomes and developments of the Islamabad Talks. He underscored the need for all parties to honor ceasefire commitments and continue diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.
Both Türkiye and Egypt reiterated their support for peaceful dialogue and collective international efforts aimed at ensuring stability in the broader region, particularly amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
