Seven killed in Israeli strike on Gaza school, says Palestinian emergency service

GAZA: At least seven Palestinians were killed and 12 wounded after an Israeli strike on a school sheltering displaced people in Gaza, the civil emergency service in Gaza City said on Saturday.

The dead include a woman and her baby, according to medics.

Israel gives ultimatum to Palestinians in northern Gaza to flee

The Israeli army has given an illegal ultimatum to Palestinians in southeastern Jabalia in northern besieged Gaza to flee areas in preparation for another assault.

Army’s spokesperson Avichay Adraee said the ultimatum is for an attack planned by Israel against what he said is an area where rockets were fired from toward Israel, reported TRT World.

Palestinian President Abbas meets Italy’s Meloni

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday in Rome.

Palestinian President also held talks with Pope Francis on Thursday as well as the Catholic Church’s top diplomatic officials to discuss the “very serious humanitarian situation in Gaza, where it is hoped that there will be a ceasefire and the release of all hostages as soon as possible,” according to a written statement by the Vatican.

Palestine boy who idealised Ronaldo killed

Naji al-Baba wanted to be a footballer and he always looked up to famour player Ronaldo as an inspiration. However, his life was cut short by Israel to pursue his passion, reported Al Jazeera.

His name, Naji al-Baba, means “survivor” however, fate did not favour him.

Born in the occupied West Bank, the 14-year-old always smiled as his family remembers his kindness, calmness and helpfulness to everyone around him.

He was passionate about football – practising for hours at the sports club in Halhul, just north of Hebron.

A normal boy who loved to knock a football around with the neighbourhood children after school.
