KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan saw a significant decrease of Rs2,100 on Tuesday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,100, settling at Rs274,900, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by a huge Rs1,800, taking it to Rs235,682.
In the international market also, the price of gold saw a drop of $21 on Tuesday, reaching $2,637 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
Silver prices in the local market, however, remained stable at Rs3,400 per tola.
