‘Australian players to get opportunity to face top cricketers,’ says Finch

Former Australian captain Aaron Finch has said that local players will have the opportunity to play against some of the world’s top-tier cricketers in the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL).

Finch’s remarks came after several prominent Pakistani cricketers, including Babar Azam, made headlines in Australia. He praised the inclusion of Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan in the league, describing them as world-class talents.

Recalling his own experience, Finch highlighted Afridi’s impact, stating: “Shaheen Shah Afridi has dismissed me twice during my career.”

He also lauded Azam’s batting skills, saying that the Pakistan former skipper plays with elegance rather than relying solely on power.

Additionally, Finch welcomed Rizwan’s participation in the forthcoming BBL.
