Details of package for Utility Stores Corporation employees came to light according to which all Utility Stores employees laid off from September 1, 2025.
According to further details, all 11,406 Utility Stores employees will be given a government-approved package under which permanent, contract and daily wages employees of the corporation will get a package of Rs19.54 billion.
Permanent employees who have served for two years or less will be given full salary for the remaining months.
Permanent employees with more than twenty years of service will get two continuous basic salaries for complete years.
Permanent employees who have served for twenty years will get three continuous basic salaries for complete years or these employees will get a continuous basic salary of 1.25 for the remaining months.
As many as 5,229 permanent employees of Utility Stores will get a package of Rs13.183 billion.
Contract employees who have served for two years or less will get full basic salary for the remaining months.
Contract employees will be paid 30 basic salaries for 16 years of service.
Contract employees with more than 16 years of service will get 35 basic salaries.
A total of 3,323 contract employees of the corporation will get Rs3.62.
Daily wage earners who have been employed for two years or less will get salary of Rs37000 for the remaining months.
Daily wage earners who have been employed for ten years will get 15 salaries of Rs37000.
Daily wage earners with ten to 15 years of service will get 28 salaries of Rs37000.
Daily wage earners with more than 15 years of service will get 30 salaries of Rs37000.
A total of 2,854 daily wage earners of utility stores will get more than 2.71
Contract and daily wage employees laid off earlier under restructuring plan will be eligible for package.
