The authorities suspended internet services across Quetta on Friday citing security reasons.
The internet was banned on the recommendation of the Balochistan government.
The provincial Home Department sent a letter to the federal government for temporarily shutting down the internet services.
Sources in the Home Department divulged to 24News TV channel that the internet closure was triggered by security reasons.
Grenade lobbed at SSP Highway office
Unidentified miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at the office of SSP Highway Police in Dera Murad Jamali on Friday.
The attackers fled the scene after throwing the grenade which hit the office’s gate, causing no injuries, sources in the police said.
