Farhan Saeed reveals why India blocks Pakistani content on Netflix

Farhan Saeed has said that India is manoeuvring to prevent Pakistan from gaining a foothold on Netflix.

In a social media post, he argued that this hesitation stems from a fear that Pakistani content could outperform Indian productions in both quality and global appeal.

Emphasizing the need for Pakistan to strengthen its presence on international streaming platforms, Saeed noted that the country’s storytelling tradition is already widely respected.

He highlighted the upcoming series “Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo” as a significant step forward, calling it a project with strong potential to elevate Pakistan’s entertainment industry on the global stage.

Saeed also noted that despite repeated attempts to restrict Pakistani dramas across the border, Indian viewers continue to watch them.

According to him, audiences do not stop watching a show simply because it is made in Pakistan proof, he said that authentic and emotionally resonant Pakistani content naturally finds its audience.

He urged the local industry to keep pushing for greater international access, adding that global platforms can help showcase Pakistan’s talent and strengthen its position in the competitive digital entertainment landscape.
