Veteran actress Sangeeta’s on-air anecdote on Mazaq Raat Season 2 – Episode 346 set off a brief flurry on social media this week after she described an awkward moment involving Saud and his ex-affair with Meera during a film shoot.
On the show, Sangeeta told host Imran Ashraf that she had gone to check why Saud wasn’t showing up for a call time.
Sangeeta came to his home and asked why he wasn’t coming only to discover Meera tucked away amid a stack of clothes; she didn’t want Saud to go to the set: “Why aren’t you coming? What’s the reason? He was eying secretly to the other side where there was a huge pile of clothes. Meera was hiding in that pile. She wasn’t wanting Saud to work with Resham. She wasn’t letting him come to the shoot.”
The segment prompted an immediate response from Javeria Saud, who used her Instagram stories to push back. Javeria wrote:
“Applause for you for hiding behind a veil of innocence while digging up forgotten chapters simply to stain a family man’s dignity. That’s quite an art. But this story can’t shake our relationship, which stands strong with love and trust, nor can it touch his character in any way. Try something else for cheap publicity!”
Javeria Saud is an established Pakistani actress, producer and host who rose to broader public recognition with long-running television work and her role in the popular soap Yeh Zindagi Hai; she and her husband run production ventures together.
Saud Qasmi is a film and television actor and producer active since the 1990s. The pair married in the 2005 and have two children, a daughter, Jannat, and a son, Ibrahim. Together they operate JJS Productions.
