Nida Yasir set a conversational tone on her morning show this week when she turned a common everyday annoyance into talk-show fodder.
Speaking on Good Morning Pakistan with guests Nadia Khan, Saima Qureshi, and Rabab Masood, Yasir addressed the frequent claim by food delivery riders that they don’t have change.
Her tested take was delivered in a matter-of-fact tone: “Food delivery riders never seem to have change. If you tip them out of your own will, that’s completely fine – but when they falsely claim they don’t have change, I always ask my driver to go and get it.
“When they’re made to wait and end up reaching their next deliveries late, then they understand. It’s become a habit with many of them now.”
Nadia Khan and the others offered nods, jokes and examples from their own experiences, keeping the mood conversational.
Response on social media was predictable: a mix of agreement from viewers who’ve faced the same frustration, and reminders from others that delivery drivers work on tight schedules and face pressures of their own. Some commenters suggested small practical alternatives (digital tipping, exact-change habits), while others urged empathy for gig workers.
One of the users appreciated Nida’s words.

Another also shared a similar experience.

While other users criticized the Nadaaniyaan actress’ perspective.
