In a major step, the federal cabinet on Saturday approved the inclusion of names of 132 PTI leaders and workers in the Exit Control List (ECL) in connection with the May 9 incidents of violence.
Sources said that the names included former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Omar Ayub, Fawad Chaudhry, Shibli Faraz, Ali Amin Gandapur, Usman Dar, Shireen Mazari, Zartaj Gul, Musarrat Cheema, Kanwal Shauzab, Sheikh Rasheed, Sheikh Rashid, Zain Qureshi, Major (r) Tahir Sadiq, Raja Basharat, Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi and Shehryar Afridi.
The Punjab Home Department had recommended that their names be put on the ECL.

They went berserk, vandalized government and military installations besides setting some of them on fire.
