Former PTI leader Faisal Vawda said on Saturday that despite the fact that doors were closed for negotiations with the PTI, still the party would have to find a way so that its talks with establishment could get underway.
Talking to 24News TV host Nasim Zehra at he said that the solution to all issues lay in talks. “I have been stressing this for quite some time,” he added.
He further said that what else could be termed an enmity towards the state that the PTI leaders and social media activists were maligning the Pakistan Army, which had won a war against India, 24/7. “Our soldiers are shedding their blood in the defence of the country. But these people are maligning them. How unfortunate,” he commented.
He advised the PTI leaders to talk about national issues; to criticize their political opponents. “You are free to criticize me. You are welcome. But sadly, what we are witnessing are abuses, violence and agitation,” he lamented.
The politician said that no one should remain under the illusion that if abuses would be hurled at the opponents, the latter would not respond.
He said it was unfortunate that saner people in the PTI were stifled, and were not allowed to speak their mind. “And last but not the least, they are trolled by their own partymen.”
He recalled that when a narcotics case was filed against PML-N stalwart Rana Sanaullah, he vehemently opposed it.
Vawda said that the former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan was now in a blind alley.
He said that if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi would take 20 steps back, the establishment would take one step forward.
He said that the countdown for those indulging in anti-state propaganda had begun.
