The 7th edition of the championship was organized by the Pakistan Long Range Rifle Association from 13 to 15 February in Multan.
A total of 61 skilled marksmen from all four provinces of the country participated enthusiastically in the championship, including a 15-member contingent from Balochistan.
Competitors demonstrated exceptional skill and precision across eight long-range rifle matches ranging from 300 to 1000 yards, despite challenging weather conditions.
In the main categories:
Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Ali Zulfiqar won the Full Target Rifle (FTR) Trophy.
Waleed Gill secured victory in the F Freestyle Open Trophy.
Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez won the Tactical Match.
Noor Zaman claimed first position in the Iron Sight Rifle Match.
In individual events:
Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Ali Zulfiqar secured first place in the 300-meter Sporting Rifle Match.
Lieutenant General Ahsan Gulrez won the 900-yard FTR Match.
In the 1000-yard competitions:
Junaid Waqas Iqbal won the first FTR match.
Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Ali Zulfiqar won FTR Match No. 2.
Waleed Ahmed Gill secured first position in both 1000-yard F Open Matches (No. 1 and No. 2).
Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Ali Zulfiqar set a new national record in the FTR Aggregate category, while Waleed Ahmed Gill established new national records in F Open 1000 yards and F Open Aggregate.
At the closing ceremony, distinguished guests and senior representatives of the shooting community distributed medals and trophies among the top performers in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
The Pakistan Long Range Rifle Association reaffirmed its commitment to promoting long-range rifle shooting across the country.
The national long-range rifle team will participate in the 7th F-Class World Championship scheduled to be held in the United Kingdom in August 2026.
