Gilgit-Baltistan Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Yar Muhammad Khan met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad on Saturday and discussed a variety of issues with him with particular focus on security during GB elections.
Security, law and order, and tourism promotion during elections in Gilgit-Baltistan were discussed during the meeting.
The Caretaker Chief Minister said Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) will be made operational soon in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Mohsin Naqvi said the federal government will provide all-out support to the CTD with modern technology and weapons.
Mohsin Naqvi assured that the federal government will meet all the needs of the Gilgit-Baltistan caretaker government. Additional personnel will be provided during elections, he added.
Mohsin Naqvi said law and order will be maintained at all costs. “A safe and peaceful environment is the basic need for tourism promotion,” he added.
