AI course to become mandatory in all universities from new academic session

Starting from the new academic session, all public and private universities across the country will make an artificial intelligence (AI) course compulsory for every bachelor’s and master’s program. This initiative aims to equip students with modern technical skills and prepare them to meet the demands of the global job market. Experts emphasize that AI has become an essential skill in almost every field, making the introduction of a mandatory AI course a timely and necessary step.

However, specialists warn that simply adding the course is not enough. Universities must ensure its effective implementation by adopting modern teaching methods and establishing strong connections with industry. Students should gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience, enabling them to apply their skills effectively in real-world scenarios.

Additionally, experts suggest integrating workshops, seminars, and internship programs alongside the course to give students hands-on exposure to real-life challenges. This approach, they argue, will not only enhance students’ capabilities but also positively impact the country’s economy and technological development. Universities are therefore urged to implement this new curriculum promptly and efficiently, ensuring that the younger generation is fully prepared to meet the requirements of a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

This step is being hailed as a significant move toward bridging the gap between academic learning and industry needs, helping students thrive in an AI-driven world.
