PCB launches women’s talent hunt trials across nine cities from April 14

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced trials for its women’s talent hunt programme, it was reported on Tuesday.

The trials will open at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium on April 14 and then move to Lahore (April 15), Peshawar (April 16), Abbottabad (April 17), Multan (April 21), Bahawalpur (April 23), Quetta (April 27), Karachi (April 30), and Rawalpindi (May 1).

Players born on or after Sept. 1, 2007, will be eligible for the Under-19 category, with a minimum age requirement of 12 years.

There is no age limit for the emerging category.

The PCB said selected players would be inducted into a development programme for potential domestic and international assignments.

Former Pakistan women’s cricketer Batool Fatima and former Test batter Asad Shafiq will oversee the trials.

Participants have been directed to register in advance and bring a B-Form, national identity card, or NADRA-issued birth certificate.
