Pink Day will be observed in Pakistan Super League (PSL) today in National Stadium Karachi for breast cancer awareness, it was reported on Thursday.
The sixth double header of the tournament will be played at the National Bank Stadium today.
Hyderabad Kings and Rawalpindi will face each other in the first match while Karachi Kings and Islamabad United will face each other in the second match.
The cancer awareness day in PSL will be observed in partnership with Pakistan’s first breast cancer charity hospital Pink Ribbon.
Today, all players and officials will wear pink caps and pink ribbons to participate in the breast cancer awareness campaign.
The stamps and graphics used in today’s matches will also be of special pink colour.
Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team players Fatima Sana, Syeda Aroob Shah, Rameen Shamim and Muniba Ali have also been invited to the stadium for the awareness campaign.
Pakistan Women’s Team players will participate in warm-up training sessions with all four teams before the match.
Breast cancer has the highest rate of all cancer cases in Pakistan.
A key message of the awareness campaign is to get checked as soon as possible and fight the disease with determination.
