JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia is set to host its first-ever T20 cricket league, according to a leading cricket website.
The report stated that the Devons League T20 is expected to feature retired international cricketers who remain active in franchise cricket circuits around the world.
According to the website, the tournament has received approval from the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation and will include recently retired players.
The six-team league is likely to be held in October, with matches scheduled to take place in Taif.
The report added that each team could include up to four players who represented full-member international sides within the past two years.
Players participating in the league are expected to receive payments of up to $100,000.
