Leaked audio links Banned Joint Action Committee to unrest plot in AJK

A banned Joint Action Committee operating in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has reportedly been involved in widespread disruptive activities, with an alleged leaked audio call of its leaders surfacing, according to claims.

Reports suggest that the banned committee has been linked to forced shutdowns, road blockades, vandalism of public and private property, and attacks on officials in different cities across Azad Kashmir. Authorities and sources allege that such activities have increased in recent days, raising concerns over law and order.

The leaked audio reportedly features conversations between two alleged leaders of the committee, identified as Advocate Shah Nawaz and Majid Ali, in which they are heard discussing plans to escalate unrest.

According to claims circulating with the audio, the two individuals can be heard planning the closure of roads and hospitals, and discussing strategies to further worsen the situation on the ground.

The audio also allegedly contains discussions about intimidating law enforcement agencies and encouraging the use of provocative slogans to incite public anger.

It is further claimed that instructions were given to discourage voluntary arrests and to provoke individuals against the state.

Experts quoted in the reports suggest that the activities of the banned group indicate organized attempts to destabilize the region. They claim that the public in Azad Kashmir is becoming increasingly aware of the group’s motives and methods.

Analysts further state that, in light of the situation, local communities are reportedly supporting the government’s decision to maintain restrictions on the banned organization, describing it as necessary for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
