Pakistan’s national hockey team received a warm welcome at a special reception hosted by the Pakistan High Commission in London, with officials, former players, and supporters celebrating the team’s recent performances and expressing hope for a brighter future for the country’s national sport.
The event was organized by Haseeb Bin Aziz, an official at the Pakistan High Commission, who welcomed the players and management on behalf of the diplomatic mission. Addressing the gathering, Manzoor-ul-Hasan, head coach of the national team, said Pakistan hockey has embarked on a new chapter and that the squad is showing clear signs of progress with every passing day.
He highlighted the team’s spirited performances against India in matches played in England, describing them as evidence of the squad’s growing confidence and competitiveness. According to the coach, Pakistan displayed remarkable fighting spirit against higher-ranked and more experienced opponents, proving that the team possesses the talent and determination needed to compete at the highest level.
