Opposition, ex-army men slam BJP govt for concealing facts about Operation Sindoor

The BJP-led government in India is presently facing charges of hushing up facts related to the Operation Sindoor, as opposition leaders as well as some retired army officers have reacted strongly to the concealing of facts, it was reported on Wednesday.

According to an article published in The Hindu, India’s Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh did not allow these facts to be made public for 13 months and thus mocked the sacrifices given by soldiers.

The Indian government is yet to clarify its position on these allegations.

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate has accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government of hiding from people the exact number of Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the operation.

Colonel (r) Rohit Chaudhry has alleged that the BJP government uses army to win the general elections.

According to The Hindu, India’s opposition parties have demanded the BJP government step down and apologise to the nation for hiding the facts.

Eminent Indian journalist Sujit Nair has accused the BJP government of cashing in on the deaths of soldiers only to sneak into the corridors of power.
