Shan Masood ruled out of second Test against West Indies

Pakistan’s batter Shan Masood will continue travelling with the national squad despite being ruled out of the second Test against the West Indies due to a finger fracture, it was reported on Friday.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Masood’s rehabilitation programme will continue under the supervision of the team’s medical staff throughout the West Indies tour to ensure his speedy recovery and return to full fitness.

The left-handed batter suffered the injury on the third day of the first Test when he was struck on the hand by a delivery from West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales, resulting in a fractured finger.

Despite the injury, Masood showed remarkable determination by returning to bat at No. 8 in Pakistan’s second innings, helping his team in difficult circumstances before being ruled out of the remainder of the series.
