ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A court has sent two suspects arrested in the Hina Javed murder case to Adiala Jail on 14-day judicial remand.
The suspects, identified as the victim’s husband Faisal Asghar and his employee Zeeshan, were produced before Duty Civil Judge Adil Sarwar Sial.
During the hearing, the investigating officer informed the court that the police investigation was continuing but physical custody of the suspects was no longer required.
The court subsequently sent both suspects to jail on 14-day judicial remand and ordered police to produce them again on September 16.
Police were also directed to complete the investigation and submit the challan before the court by September 16.
According to police, investigators allegedly recovered a suspected murder weapon, screwdriver, cloth and iron wire from the suspects during the investigation.
Police said marriage certificates relating to Faisal Asghar’s first and second marriages were also recovered from him, along with the divorce certificate of his first wife, identified as Iram Zaib.
Investigators said the marriage and divorce documents had been verified by the relevant union council.
Both suspects had previously remained in police custody on 10-day physical remand. Following the latest court order, police shifted them to Adiala Jail.
The allegations against the suspects remain subject to trial and have yet to be determined by a court.
