Pakistani actress Hareem Farooq has found herself at the centre of social media buzz after her latest look at the launch of her upcoming film Mango Jutt sparked mixed reactions online.
Hareem attended the event in a Punjabi-inspired ensemble featuring a short, sleeveless apple-green silk kurti paired with a beige and sea-green jamawar ghairdar shalwar and an organza dupatta.
Pictures and videos from the event quickly circulated on social media, prompting users to comment on the fitting and styling of her outfit.
Several commenters described the outfit as too tight or unflattering, while some also focused on Hareem’s appearance and weight. Others, however, objected to the personal remarks and argued that the discussion should remain focused on the outfit rather than her body.
One social media user questioned why celebrities do not consider whether an outfit suits them before appearing in public. Another user also commented on the styling and fit, while a different commenter described the dress as too tight.

The social media discussion comes as Hareem is promoting Mango Jutt, a Punjabi-language action-comedy in which she stars opposite Faysal Quraishi. The film also features Shamoon Abbasi and blends action, comedy, romance and family emotions.
The story follows Murad Jutt, played by Faysal Quraishi, a police officer who becomes responsible for protecting Marium and her three children. Hareem plays Marium, while Shamoon Abbasi appears as the antagonist. The trailer features action sequences, comedy, romance and colourful Punjabi settings.
Meanwhile, Hareem has described Mango Jutt as an important project for her, calling it her first solo production and highlighting her belief in Punjabi cinema and stories based on family, emotions and culture.
Produced under Hameem Productions, Mango Jutt is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 16, 2026.
