Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon has stated that his party has no objection to the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, it was reported on Wednesday.
Sharjeel Memon said the federal government should resolve its issues with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) through dialogue.
He said the sole objective of PTI’s long march was the release of its founder, adding that instead of seeking a deal or pursuing back-channel lobbying, the party should adopt the legal route and approach the courts.
The PPP leader said no state would surrender to arson and violent protests, urging the PTI to change what he described as its violent mindset.
“PTI must decide whether it wants to be a political party or operate through the use of force,” he added.
