KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply, reaching a record level in local bullion markets following an increase in international gold prices.
According to the Sarafa Association, the price of gold increased by Rs2,000 per tola, reaching a record Rs440,636.
The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs1,715 to Rs377,774.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $20, with the precious metal closing at a record $4,181 per ounce.
Silver prices also continued to rise, with the price of silver increasing by Rs50 per tola to Rs6,578.
