TEHRAN: Iran is still reviewing Washington’s response to its proposal, under which the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened within seven days, and could reply within days, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday, according to Tasnim news agency.
“The diplomatic process is still continuing,” Araghchi said.
‘Real toll is far higher’, says Iran’s FM over list of damaged US aircraft
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday cited a US Congressional Research Service (CRS) report listing 81 American military aircraft reportedly lost or damaged during operations against Iran, saying that the “real toll is far higher”.
“In May, the Congressional Research Service admitted that Iran’s Armed Forces had taken out 42 US military aircraft. Now: 81,” Araghchi wrote on X.
Araghchi further said that US Central Command had prevented a senator from inspecting military bases.
