LAHORE: Sri Lanka Cricket has announced a 15-member Test squad for the upcoming two-match series against Pakistan, with Kusal Mendis appointed to lead the side on the tour.
The series will mark another important contest between the Asian rivals, with both teams set to compete in challenging conditions across two Pakistani venues in November.
According to the announced schedule, the opening Test will begin on November 9 in Rawalpindi, while the second match is scheduled to start on November 17 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Before the Test series gets underway, the visiting Sri Lankan team will play a three-day tour match in Islamabad from November 4, providing the players an opportunity to adjust to local conditions and prepare for the opening fixture.
Mendis will be tasked with guiding Sri Lanka through the two-match contest as the visitors look to deliver a competitive performance against Pakistan on their home turf.

The series is expected to attract attention from cricket fans, with Pakistan enjoying home advantage and Sri Lanka aiming to challenge the hosts across both matches.
The opening Test in Rawalpindi will set the tone for the series, while the final match in Lahore will provide the teams with another opportunity to strengthen their position in the bilateral contest.
With the tour match scheduled just days before the first Test, Sri Lanka will have a short preparation window before the series begins.
