Naqvi says PTI knows who sought governor’s rule in KP

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) knows which of its members called for the imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Speaking to journalists, Naqvi said the PTI leadership was aware of those within the party who had supported the proposal to impose governor’s rule in the province.

During the interaction, a journalist asked the interior minister why Maulana was upset and what he had not received.

Responding to the question, Naqvi said, “That is precisely the issue. You’ve hit the nail on the head.”

The interior minister also discussed the construction of a new cricket stadium in Islamabad, saying work on the project would begin soon.

He said there were no legal or judicial obstacles to the construction of the Islamabad Cricket Stadium.

When journalists asked Naqvi about Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam’s (JUI) “Once for All” stance, the interior minister declined to comment and walked away with a smile.
