Pakistan’ quest for global peace: A new chapter of diplomacy, security and economic growth

By FAISAL BIN NASEER

Pakistan has always stood as a responsible state committed to peace, both within its borders and across the world. From being one of the largest contributors to United Nations Peacekeeping Missions to its consistent advocacy for dialogue over war, Pakistan’s foreign policy is rooted in the principles of peaceful coexistence, respect for sovereignty and adherence to the UN Charter. In recent years, this commitment has been revitalized under a coherent civil-military leadership that is reshaping Pakistan’s image from a security-challenged state to a peace-builder, connectivity hub and economic partner.

THE TRINITY OF LEADERSHIP: A UNIFIED VISION FOR PEACE

The current national approach to peace, stability and prosperity is being steered by a trinity of leadership – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif leading the diplomatic front, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi managing internal security and stability, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir – The Architect of Strategic Peace and Global Re-engagement.

FIELD MARSHAL SYED ASIM MUNIR: THE DOCTRINE OF COMPREHENSIVE PEACE*

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), has emerged as the central pillar in restoring Pakistan’s strategic relevance, credibility and standing in the comity of nations. As Pakistan’s Field Marshal in decades, his elevation reflects not just military excellence but national trust in his strategic vision. His doctrine is clear, pragmatic and forward-looking. Chief of Defence forces (CDF) said, Pakistan’s national security is incomplete and unsustainable without economic security, internal stability and global partnerships.

Field Marshal Munir represents a rare blend of a professional soldier, an intelligence strategist and an economic diplomat. His approach to peace is idealistic but is anchored in realism, deterrence and development.

  1. Rebuilding Pakistan-America and Global Relations and Military Diplomacy at its Finest

Under Field Marshal Asim Munir’s strategic engagement, Pakistan’s foreign relations have witnessed a calculated and dignified reset.

Moving beyond the transactional and aid-dependent past of the last two decades, Field Marshal Munir has redefined Pakistan-US relations on the basis of mutual respect, mutual interest and shared security concerns. His high-level, candid and professional military diplomacy with US CENTCOM, the Pentagon, State Department, and think-tanks in Washington has conveyed an unambiguous message that Pakistan is not a problem to be managed, but a partner for regional stability to be engaged.

The focus is now on long-term security cooperation, counter-terrorism intelligence sharing, military education and training, and most importantly, economic and investment linkages. This has restored Pakistan’s relevance in Washington at a time of great power

While strengthening ties with the West, Field Marshal has further cemented the iron-clad brotherhood with China. His personal assurance for the security of CPEC and Chinese nationals in Pakistan has given new confidence to Beijing and ensured the second phase of CPEC moves towards industrialization and economic zones.

His engagements with the leadership of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkiye, and with the UK and the European Union have restored confidence. He has successfully presented Pakistan as a functional, decisive and stable state. His most significant contribution is the assurance of foolproof security for foreign investments, which was the biggest concern of foreign investors.

World leaders now see a Pakistan where civil and military leadership is on the same page – a critical factor for boosting foreign direct investment and strategic confidence.

The SIFC Doctrine for Peace Through Economic Revival

The Field Marshal Munir’s most revolutionary contribution to national peace is linking it with economic revival. He is the co-architect and driving force behind the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

The SIFC is not merely an investment body; it is his doctrine of Economic Diplomacy in Uniform.

He has understood that poverty, unemployment and underdevelopment are the root causes of extremism and instability.

Through the SIFC platform, he has personally pitched Pakistan’s potential to global investors and opened doors for multi-billion dollar investments in five priority sectors like Agriculture, Mining & Minerals, Information Technology, Energy, and Defence Production.

From barren lands of Cholistan being made cultivable for corporate farming to the Reko Diq project and IT investment from the Gulf, he has convinced the world that Pakistan is ready for business, and peace is a prerequisite for prosperity.

This is the new definition of national security, where a soldier guarantees economic security.

And in real the CDF FM Syed Asim Munir is the Custodian of National Unity and Ideological Frontiers.

Beyond external affairs, Field Marshal Asim Munir has taken a firm and uncompromising stance on internal cohesion. His clear narrative against extremism, intolerance, and externally funded disinformation campaigns has provided moral clarity to the nation. He has repeatedly emphasized that the Pakistan Army belongs to the people and draws its strength from the people, making the fight against terrorism a national war, not just an Army’s war.

The world knows that the Pakistan Army is on the Frontlines of Global Peace now and the world powers know that there is no discussion on peace is complete without acknowledging the supreme sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir. The Army is fighting the real, kinetic battle for world peace on three complex fronts which are the Eastern Border Facing a hostile and expansionist mindset, the Pakistan Army remains vigilant along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary. While maintaining credible deterrence and full operational readiness, it has always demonstrated maturity by offering peace through dialogue and restraint, even after grave provocations, proving Pakistan is a responsible nuclear power. On the Western Borders The 2,600-km border with Afghanistan remains the frontline against international terrorism. Despite suffering cross-border terrorism, Pakistan under Field Marshal’s leadership continues to advocate for a peaceful, stable and connected Afghanistan, because a stable Afghanistan is essential for a stable Pakistan.

On the Internal Front the Provinces of KPK and Balochistan matters alot because the most complex and sacred battle In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, the Pakistan Army, along with FC, Police and intelligence agencies, is fighting against “Fitna al-Khawarij” and other terrorist proxies funded and abetted by hostile agencies of the Pakistan’s eastern neighbour. This is not just a military operation but a war for the people and the future of Pakistan.

Simultaneously, under the vision of Field Marshal, the Army is building schools, hospitals, cadet colleges, roads, and providing employment through massive development projects in these areas, proving that peace is built through both security and development. Soldiers and officers are laying down their lives daily so that the rest of Pakistan can live in peace and the world remains safe from the export of terrorism.

In real after the great military leadership and vision for a prosperous Pakistan the peace reflects as a National Brand today. The Pakistan’s message to the world is consistent, coherent and credible. Under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s diplomatic push, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s strategic global re-engagement and economic security doctrine, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s robust internal security management, Pakistan is transitioning from being a consumer of security to a provider and guarantor of global peace.

This unprecedented civil-military synergy is not only boosting Pakistan’s importance in Washington, Beijing, Riyadh and Brussels, but is also laying the foundation for sustainable economic growth and national dignity. A peaceful, stable and economically vibrant Pakistan means a peaceful region, and a peaceful region is in the interest of the entire world. Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad.
