No country can prosper without supremacy of law: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday the incumbent government is fighting a battle to fix the system and ensure rule of law in the country.

“No country can prosper without rule of law” said Prime Minister Imran Khan, addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of a five-star hotel in Nathia Gali.

Slamming opposition leaders, he said they did not desire rule of law so they could continue exploiting the corrupt system to their advantage.

The PM Imran Khan lamented that overseas Pakistanis raked in more money and have more skills than their compatriots in the home country but their potential was never tapped.

The previous governments were too focused on their own interests and survival to spare a thought for public welfare, he said, stressing that there is a dire need for wealth creation which would ultimately create employment opportunities, increase tax collection and help pay off the country’s debt.

He called for introducing incentives to attract investment from Pakistani expatriates.

PM SAYS PAKISTAN CAN ‘RETIRE ENTIRE FOREIGN DEBT’ VIA TOURISM: Prime Minister Imran Khan believes that Pakistan can “retire its entire foreign debt” by promoting tourism, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.

“The government is giving importance to the sector for wealth creation,” said PM Imran. He added that he was confident that Pakistan can retire its foreign debt by promoting tourism.

The premier also assured businessmen that his government will fully facilitate the development of tourist resorts to promote skiing in the country. He said duty concessions will be given to those importing tourism relating products.

In his address, the premier also appealed to the overseas Pakistanis to make investments in Pakistan and assured them that any hurdle facing them will be removed.

‘INDIA WILL HAVE TO GIVE KASHMIR ITS RIGHT TO SELF-DETERMINATION’: India will have to give the people of occupied Kashmir the free exercise of the right to self-determination, embodied in a dozen outstanding United Nations Security Council resolutions, Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Monday.

“On our part, we will continue to expose the real face of a radicalized India”, he said in his message on the occasion of Defence Day.
