Lahore — Pak Mission Society successful distributed kitchen gardening tool kits and supplies to total 10 partner schools in Lahore includes 3 government and 7 private schools. This initiative, part of the “Child Driven Climate Action” project funded by KNH.
Students and teachers from the Green Clubs at each school enthusiastically participated by planting seeds of various vegetables and fruits in their designated kitchen garden areas. This hands-on activity aims to promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship among young learners.
In addition to the kitchen gardening efforts, the CDCA team arranged a tree plantation campaign involving all 10 partner schools. The event featured a lecture by a former Director of the Environment Protection Authority (EPA), who spoke on the critical issues of environmental changes and the importance of plant maintenance and care.
Pak Mission Society remains committed to fostering environmental awareness and sustainable practices in schools, encouraging students to take an active role in combating climate change. This project not only equips students with practical skills but also instills a sense of responsibility towards their environment.
