Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has called for a national investigation into the assets of business tycoon Malik Riaz, questioning how state funds ended up in Riaz’s account.
He emphasized that no individual regardless of wealth should be able to challenge the state.
Asif also accused Malik Riaz of illegally occupying land belonging to poor people and asserted that Riaz claimed to have bribed numerous individuals.
The former minister stressed the need for comprehensive investigations into Riaz’s financial dealings at the national level.
