RAWALPINDI: The ISPR DG stated that New Delhi was involved in terror financing and was sponsoring cross-border terrorism.
Addressing the international media, he said terrorist camps were running in India, adding that they themselves were confessing that they were sponsoring terrorists in Balochistan.
“India is involved in terrorism not only in Pakistan but also in Canada,” he added.
The military’s spokesperson said that New Delhi was supporting different terrorist groups in Pakistan, including “Fitna al Khawarij” — a term widely used for outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
“The time has come to question the Indian government,” he added.
The DG ISPR further said that the one of the objectives of Pahalgam attack and the subsequent Indian actions is to divert Pakistan armed forces and security agencies attention from anti-terror operations in the country.
“Government of Pakistan, its armed forces and security forces are on daily basis tightening noose around India-sponsored terrorism. One of the objectives is to distract and divert the security agencies and armed forces from this counter-terrorists operations,” he added.
‘India accusing Pakistan to divert attention from internal issues’
The DG ISPR said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Indian government was blaming Pakistan in connection with the Pahalgam incident, a popular destination in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOK), to divert attention from internal issues.
“India has a history of using terrorism for political objectives,” he added. The military spokesperson said that India targets innocent Kashmiris to serve its political agenda.
