Maryam Nawaz allocates Rs 2 billion security fund amid Indo-Pak tensions

In response to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken a proactive step by releasing an internal security fund worth Rs 2 billion.

This emergency allocation aims to strengthen security measures and ensure public safety across Punjab.

According to the Punjab Home Department, the fund has been distributed among deputy commissioners in all districts of the province. These funds will be used to procure essential supplies, including rations, fuel, and medicines, to prepare for any unforeseen circumstances.

The Home Department emphasized that the funds are intended for public welfare and emergency preparedness, enabling law enforcement agencies, civil defence, and rescue services to remain on high alert.

Officials have urged the public to stay indoors unless necessary, avoid unnecessary travel, and refrain from believing rumours. Citizens are advised to rely solely on verified and official information during this sensitive time.
