After the successful execution of Pakistan Air Force’s Operation Banyan Ul Marsoos in response to India’s Operation Sindoor, one name has captivated national attention — AVM (Air Vice Marshal) Aurangzeb Ahmed.
Representing Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu in a press briefing, AVM Aurangzeb’s calm demeanour and patriotism instantly earned him the title of Pakistan’s new national crush.
Amidst the media buzz, veteran TV host Nadia Khan revealed on her morning show Rise and Shine that her husband, Faisal Rao, shares a personal bond with the celebrated officer. Sharing an old photograph, she said, “This is an exclusive picture of my husband Faisal with Aurangzeb Bhai from 1989. They were all fighter pilots. When I married Faisal, I learned that Aurangzeb was like a brother to him — a dedicated, competent fighter pilot.”
She further praised the airman’s patriotic spirit, recalling, “When I met him for the first time, he only talked about Pakistan. Faisal always says, ‘I want my son to be like Aurangzeb, not me.’”
However, her remarks have sparked a wave of criticism on social media. Some users accused her of name-dropping to remain relevant, while others questioned the authenticity of her claims and timing. “Where were these stories before he became famous?” one user asked. Others sarcastically questioned the absence of more recent photographs and whether AVM Aurangzeb himself is aware of these long phone calls.
