Earthquakes continue: Shake Gwadar, parts of Sindh

Mild tremors were felt in the port city of Gwadar on Sunday after a 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck the region, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres underground, with its epicentre located 8km northwest of Gwadar, the centre reported.

Earthquake tremors were also felt in Mirpur Sakro on Sunday evening, with a magnitude of 3.1, according to the Seismological Centre.

The tremors were recorded at 7:13pm, and the epicentre of the earthquake was located 150km southeast of Mirpur Sakro, the centre reported.

There were no immediate reports of damage to property or casualties, and residents largely remained calm, as the tremors were brief and lightly felt across the city.

Earlier today, Karachi experienced earthquake tremors once again, on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha. According to reports, the tremors were felt in the Malir area and had a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The Met Department said that the quake occurred at 3:35pm, with the epicentre located approximately 4km southeast of Malir.

Meanwhile, tremors were also reported in and around the Ormara region. The Seismological Centre stated that the earthquake in that area measured 3.1 in magnitude, with a depth of 10km beneath the surface. Its epicentre was recorded 118 kilometres southeast of Ormara.
