An Islamabad district and sessions court has extended the physical remand of eight Chinese nationals arrested in connection with an alleged online fraud case by three days.
The suspects were produced before Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah after completing their initial five-day remand.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had registered a case against the Chinese nationals for their alleged involvement in online fraud. The FIA sought an extension of the physical remand to continue investigating the case.
The development comes amid a crackdown on foreign nationals suspected of involvement in human trafficking and other crimes.
